This is what date night looks like in our house. Succulent, tender shrimp glazed in a sweet and spicy honey sriracha sauce. One plate of sticky, spicy, saucy, deliciousness 🙂
I love “date night” dinners. When I cook with intention – really paying attention to the ingredients, selecting a bottle of wine, thinking about the ambiance I want to create with the meal, carefully preparing a dish for people I love – the process is so much more enjoyable. Honestly, it makes even eating the food a better experience. My husband has been working a lot lately, so I decided to surprise him with a special “date night” dinner one Saturday. He loves Asian food, so this Honey Sriracha Shrimp was a perfect choice.
The dish itself doesn’t take that long to prepare – as you know, shrimp cooks up in a snap. What makes this recipe special is the honey sriracha glaze. Spicy and sweet – perfect. Be sure to prepare a little extra – it will keep refrigerated for about one week – this honey sriracha glaze pairs nicely with roasted salmon and chicken, too! Spoon it over grilled chicken breasts later in the week for an quick and easy dinner.
I served this dish with cauliflower rice and my 5-ingredient Asian stir fry (recipe coming soon!!). We opened a bottle of Pinot. And then we dug in! Enjoy friends!
